Established in 2022, Nakita’s vision for Carbon stock was to be an independent consultant business and landholders could trust to achieve their climate and natural capital related goals.
Nakita has a wealth of knowledge from her time in the sector. Her work with the ACCU scheme (formally known as the Emissions Reduction Fund) has seen assessment of over 70 projects for registration and offset reporting. A key focus during her time leading the Environmental Planting Pilot was to reduce barriers and increase uptake from landholders, a passion she has carried into Carbon Stock.
She has also worked as a project liaison lead with the Agricultural Department to implement the Carbon and Biodiversity Pilot and in the conservation and extension officer space prior. Nakita’s professional history has given her an in-depth understanding around environmental markets which remains as Carbon Stock’s focus.
